    Mayor Tony HarpFestival Season Begins in June: Happy summer, dear neighbors and friends!

    If itís June, then New Haven must be hosting the annual International Festival of Arts and Ideas! This month, creative thinkers and talented performers have brought their innovations and performances from across the globe to share with us in our city. I hope youíre enjoying many scheduled events, most of which are free, and I hope you will support the festival through June 25th.

    June is also the start of summer vacation from New Haven Public Schools. The city has an abundant assortment of summertime activities for young people. One recommended place to begin a search for a good match would be the cityís Department of Parks, Recreation, and Trees. Its Web site can be reached at www.cityofnewhaven.com/parks.
