    Mayor Tony HarpImminent Thanksgiving: With Election Day now safely behind us, and with more frequent glimpses of seasonal displays, it’s clearly time to begin preparing for the sights and sounds of the traditional holiday time of year. As we enter this most-festive time I wish for each of you the peace and contentment for which it is famous.

    Preparing for this season means a variety of things for city government. For example, just this week employees of the Parks, Recreation, and Trees Department are setting up on the New Haven Green the big, beautiful tree we all know and love each year. It’ll be strung with lights and decorated ahead of the formal lighting ceremony Thursday, December 4th at 6:00 p.m. Mark your calendars and plan to attend!
