“Protect Children through Safe and Healthy Home Environment”
Given that your family probably spends approximately half their time at home, the health of your family depends on having a safe environment.
New Haven Health Department participates in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Healthy Homes Program. This program takes a comprehensive approach in identifying and providing advice on addressing housing-related health hazards for those who qualify.
The Program builds upon the success of the New Haven Health Department’s successful lead hazard control program to address a variety of environmental health and safety concerns including mold, lead, allergens, asthma, carbon monoxide, home safety, pesticides, and radon.
