The Women’s Health Division works in coordination with other city departments, consumer groups, community-based agencies, State, Federal and public organizations to:

• Maintain a data collection and analysis infrastructure to assess the health and needs of New Haven women, and to plan strategies based upon that information
• Reduce racial and ethnic disparities in women’s health
• Support health promotion/disease prevention programs for women
• Promote access to health care services for women of all ages and backgrounds
• Support public and healthcare professional education on women’s health issues
