you find a particular article or articles on a
particular subject:
-
iCONN Databases
The Connecticut Digital Library (iCONN) has made available
several databases that are accessible both at the Library
and from home. Outside the Library, you need a Connecticut
public library card to log in. Databases include:
- InfoTrac, which provides full-text magazine and
journal articles on a variety subjects.
- A newspaper database which includes full-text articles from
The Hartford Courant, The New York Times,
and other papers.
- Health and Wellness Resource Center, which includes
a collection of full-text articles from both popular
and professional publications.
- Print Indexes
Print indexes are especially useful for finding articles written prior
to 1980 (most databases don't include older articles). The Main Library owns
indexes such as the Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature and
The New York Times Index.
- Web Sites
Sites such as the Internet Public Library and NewsDirectory can help you locate
full-text articles on the Internet.
