NEW HAVEN POLICE MAKE ARRESTS IN THREE INCIDENTS
(11/2/2007) NEW HAVEN- Thursday, members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, New Haven Initiative arrested two individuals for several narcotic related offenses. In the first incident, members of the unit arrested 23-year-old Curtis McGill, Jr. of 280 Winthrop Avenue while he engaged in a narcotic transaction at 90 Park Street. McGill was found to be in possession of approximately 3.0 grams of suspected crack cocaine. In the second incident, members of the unit arrested 30-year-old Amy Kent, 30 of 175 James Street after officers observed Kent engage in narcotic transactions at her home. Kent was found in be in possession of approximately 6.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
Also on Thursday, members of the Investigative Services Division went out in the Fair Haven section of New Haven to conduct an undercover prostitution operation. This operation was in response to community concerns about prostitution occurring in their neighborhoods. The operation yielded the arrests of five women for prostitution: Monea Ford, 40, of 480 Ferry Street; Sadie Sampson, 44, of 320 Lombard Street; Deborah Rivera, 30, of 105 James Street; Pamela Bolstridge, 35, of 37 Elizabeth Ann Drive and Mary Davis, 44, of 315 Eastern Street.
