C-TOWN BECOMES NEWEST MEMBER OF ELM CITY RESIDENT CARD INCENTIVE PROGRAM

(6/10/2008) NEW HAVEN- C-Town Supermarkets with three locations in New Haven, is now accepting the Elm City Resident Card as a form of payment. The Parcxmart feature allows residents to load up to $150 onto the card in order to use it as a debit card. Funds can be added to the card at the Office of New Haven Residents or at more than 50 participating Parcxmart vendors throughout the City.

“This is just another example of the popularity of this program and demonstrates the many benefits of the card for all residents of our community,” said Kica Matos, Community Services Administrator. “The greater the incentives and the longer the list of businesses that accept the card, the more value this resource has for residents.”

The Mobile Unit for the Resident Card program will set-up shop at the C-Town Supermarket at 325 Ferry Street on June 11 and 12 from 10am until 3pm. On June 13, the Mobile Unit will accept applications at the C-Town location at 156 Dixwell Avenue from 10am until 3pm. Applications can be obtained on-site or downloaded from www.cityofnewhaven.com.

“The Elm City Resident Card, powered by Parcxmart, is now accepted at C-Town grocery stores as part of the overall strategy to deliver a convenient city-wide payment service for a variety of merchants. We are very happy to be working with both C-Town and the City and look forward to a relationship that results in a positive experience for everyone that loads value and uses their Card at C-Town stores,” said John Regan, President and CEO of Parcxmart Technologies.
