    Welcome to the website for
    the City of New Haven's Department of
    Parks, Recreation and Trees.

    At the Department of Parks, Recreation and Trees our mission is to create community through people, parks and programs.
    We are responsible for the stewardship
    of the city's over 2,200 acres of parks,
    the tree belt and we offer
    a wide variety of programming.

    Missing! 55 to 70 foot tall Norway Spruce or Douglas Fir (not blue spruce). The Department of Parks is looking for a special tree for the New Haven Green for the winter holidays. Have you seen this tree? If so, please donate the tree to the city?

    The tree will be decorated with over 30,000 lights as the holiday centerpiece on the historic green and will be removed from your property free of charge.

    To donate a tree call Christy Hass (203) 946-8004 or chass@newhavenct.gov.
