    Bulk Trash Appointments

Bulk Appointment Confirmation and Citizen's Responsibilities

Pursuant to New Haven Code of Ordinance, the process for bulk appointments has changed. Effective July 1, 2011, there is a $50 fee for all bulk appointments. The service is available for New Haven residents only. As a resident, you may have the need to request a bulk trash pickup. In order to obtain an appointment, you will need to go to the Citizen Response Unit at the New Haven Department of Public Works office at 34 Middletown Ave. Bring with you proof of residency (i.e., CT driver's license, city or state identification card), proof of address and a check or money order in the amount of $50 made payable to Treasurer City of New Haven. You will receive a Bulk Pickup coupon as proof of payment and confirmation for your appointment. You will be provided with detailed information about acceptable bulk items and weight. If you have any questions, you may contact the Public Works Citizens Response Unit at (203) 946-7700.

VIOLATORS OF THIS POLICY ARE SUBJECT TO A $100 FINE DAILY
