The Registrar of Voters performs all duties required by Connecticut General Statutes governing voter registration, annual canvass of voters, primaries, elections, and compiling and retaining accurate statistical information for federal, state and municipal government agencies.
NOVEMBER 5, 2013 – MUNICIPAL ELECTION
The New Haven Registrars of Voters will conduct EDR, election registration and voting at New Haven City Hall, 165 Church Street, 2nd floor, Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.Â By law, a person is eligible to register and vote if he or she is a U.S. citizen, age 18 or older and a bona fide resident of the municipality in which he or she applies for admission.Â
Acceptable forms of identification are as follows:Â
Motor vehicle driver's license and/or learners permit
A fee statement, a lease, library card with residential address, paycheck
For a college or university student the following i.d. is required:

Sat., Oct 19 Session for voter registration session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tues., Oct. 22 Hand-delivered voter registration deadline
Mail-in voter registration must be postmarked Oct. 22
Tues., Oct 29 Cut-off for in-person registration from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 4 Limited registration session in person at Registrars of Voters
Office to admit those seeking to vote in election whose
qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained
since Oct. 29.
Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The following forms of identification should be presented at the polls: your name AND address, or signature, or photograph
