    Heroin Health Advisory

(3/2/2014) The CT Department of Public Health has issued a Health Advisory regarding Heroin laced with Fentanyl. From the report:

"Recent news reports have linked the marked increase in recent deaths since the beginning of this year to the use

of heroin contaminated with the drug fentanyl.

Fentanyl is a synthetic form of opioid that is 50 times more potent than morphine or heroin. When used in combination with heroin, it can cause severe injury and even death."

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, call (203) 901-7687 for information on how and where to get help.
