Children's Services
Welcome to the New Haven Free Public Library. Our
children's librarians are eager to help you discover the
resources available in the Children's Room at the Main
Library and at the branches. Browse through the collection,
play computer games and be sure to ask about upcoming

The Children's Circle
The Children's Circle, written by Barbara Hendrix, is a bi-monthly newsletter for parents and educators. For the latest copy, please contact the Children's Department at 946-8129 or download the document here.
Clubs
Chess Kids – an ongoing chess club for kids offering instruction and play. Mondays 4-5pm. Kids Ages 6-16. All materials provided!
Tween Book Club – Kids ages 10-12. Third Wednesday of the month. 4:00pm during the school year and 3:00 pm during the summer. Call 946-8129 to get the book or monthly topic. We love newcomers!
