    Monument Tours – Yes!

Park Rangers will be on hand to talk about the monument, restoration and to give tours.

Wh at else should you bring?

Feel free to bring a folding chair ( back pack chairs are best due to the space on the shuttle bus) or even a blanket. Please do not bring your pets, they are often startled by fireworks. Please do bring your cameras, the view from the overlook is amazing. Sunscreen is good, maybe some bug spray. There will be a first aide station in case of accident or injury. Police will also be on site to promote safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

Can we walk to the top instead of taking the shuttle?

We prefer that you take the shuttle up. We insist that you take the shuttle down after the fireworks for the safety of yourself and others. Ancillary trails into the park/summit will be closed.
